Thank you to everyone who kindly sent in donations for our food bank collections. The West Berkshire food bank let us know that: "the donations have been weighed in, and they totalled 135.6kgs. This is the approximate weight of a gorilla and they are big! But more importantly, it is the equivalent of 284 meals that the Castle School community has provided for local people who are currently having an extremely difficult time. What a very kind and thoughtful thing to have done. Can you please pass on our thanks and gratitude to everyone involved with your collection."

Our school council have been very keen to help the food bank, and wanted to do another collection. Oxford class are doing a topic about the food bank, so they went to deliver the food and have a tour of the food bank warehouse. The tour was very interesting and humbling. Oxford students were very sensible and keen to join in with unpacking. One student was keen to come back for work experience. Well done to Oxford class and thanks to everyone that helped.
