We recently welcomed Rocket Propelled Games into school for the first round of heats in our board game competition!

Students from Durham, Edinburgh and Tintagel classes came together for today’s heats, competing in Connect 4, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, KerPlunk, Hedbanz and Scrabble.

The students played wonderfully together and showed some fantastic turn-taking, communication, and sportsmanship. There was plenty of friendly competition, encouragement, and laughter throughout the morning!

Next week, the six winners will represent the school in the final at Rocket Propelled Games in Newbury, where they will play alongside residents from a local care home.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in the heats, and to Kerri-Lynn at Rocket Propelled games for organising and bringing along all the games.

Rocket Propelled Games is an independent board game shop in Newbury town centre, offering a huge range of board games as well as providing a welcoming space for people to come together, play games and meet others. We are really pleased to be working with them to give our students new opportunities to connect with people in our local community.
