Foodbank Collections

Our School Council have been extremely keen to do more to help local food banks. We were so proud of their strong desire to help, when they delivered your kind donations to the food bank last year. School Council asked the Food Bank how they could help more and have since organised the school to help to decorate Easter bags, for the food bank Easter appeal. We would like to arrange a Harvest collection for West Berkshire Food Bank again, to continue School Council’s mission to support our local community. Please can you help us with the collection? We understand that things are tough at the moment, so please only donate if you are able to.
If you are able to make a donation, please send this in with your child to give to their class teacher by Friday 24th October. Please help by donating an item or two from the list below (or any other in date, tinned food you may have in your cupboards,) to support people facing hardship, to help the local community. The School Council will deliver your donations to the food bank, after half term.
West Berkshire food bank would really like the following items in particular, as part of their Harvest appeal:
- Fruit Squash
- Baked Beans
- Dried Pasta
- Tins Tomatoes/Passata
- Tea Bags (small boxes)
- Tinned Custard
- Tinned Soup
- Sweet Biscuits
- Confectionary
- Deodorant
Thank you for your support!
Kind Regards,
Hayley O’Donnell and School Council
