At The Castle School we support children and young people with a range of complex learning needs from the ages of 3 to 19, offering a range of provision for different ages, stages and needs. We are a very welcoming and open school with a caring and highly-specialised staff team who are committed to supporting the education of all our pupils and make our school a very special place. Support Assistant

Have you got the energy, vision and passion for SEN and a good sense of fun to join our team? The Castle School @Newbury meets the individual needs of 190 students between 4 and 19 years, all of whom have special needs. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, creative and hardworking people to our Support Assistants team. You will be working with students across the school age range who have special educational needs. Working closely with the class teacher, you will support the needs of pupils as individuals or in small groups. Bank Classroom Support Assistant

You will be working with students across the school age range who have special educational needs. Working closely with the class teacher, you will support the needs of pupils as individuals or in small groups. Each day will bring something new. From classroom learning to outdoor adventures, you'll help pupils discover what they're capable of in a supportive, nurturing environment. You will work across the whole school and in a variety of classrooms, so you will need to be flexible and adaptable. Castle @ Theale is a specialist provision for students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are a therapeutic setting that prioritises relational practice, delivering a highly personalised curriculum and tailored support to meet the individual needs of our young people.

We aim to empower learners by developing emotional insight, resilience and self-regulation, enabling them to engage meaningfully in their learning and personal development. Through this approach, we support students in building the skills, confidence, and agency needed to access opportunities and make positive choices, both now and in the future.
